How to Apply to Islanders

Thank you for your interest in the Islanders program at YMCA Camp Orkila! Our Islanders program is an exciting and challenging four-week commitment in which participants explore leadership, teamwork, and youth work by paddling through the San Juans. Due to limited capacity, not all applicants may be admitted. We appreciate your time and commitment during the process.

Ready to apply? Here's what you need to do:

1. Complete & Submit Application

2. Submit Registration with $50 Deposit
Islanders applicants must pre-register for Summer 2016 as a regular camper and submit a deposit of $50. For registration information, visit us at www.camporkila.org. Registration for a session does not guarantee a space. Those who are accepted to the program will be accepted into a particular session. The $50 deposit and registration are required in order to be considered for the program. In the event that an applicant is not accepted into the Islanders Program, the $50 deposit may be refunded or credited to another YMCA program.

3. In-Person or Phone Interview
Applicants will be contacted to schedule an interview. In-person interviews will be scheduled after November 1 and will take place at the Downtown Seattle YMCA on November 21st & 22nd.
